Use: | GBL serves as a chemical intermediate in the manufacture of all pyrrolidones.It can be used in the production of pesticides, herbicides and plant growth regulators. GBL may be formed as an intermediate in the production of vitamins and pharmaceuticals. GBL is a common solvent and reagent in chemistry and is used as an aroma compounds, as a stain remover, as a superglue remover, as a paint stripper, and as a solvent in some wet aluminium electrolytic capacitors. | |
